Q. What is a Respondent?
A. A respondent is responsible for taking periodic surveys, and polls, posting on the discussion boards, participating in periodic blog assignments and acting as members of occasional street teams. You can do some of it or all of it. It's up to your to decide how much or how little you would like to participate. You are paid $5 per survey you fill out, so the more you take, the more money you will make.
Q. What qualifications do I need to be a respondent?
A. Anyone can sign up as long as he or she is at least 14 years old, although we specialize in ages 14 to 30. If you are over 30 Team Look-Look may have special projects for you from time to time. We encourage anyone to sign up and when a project comes up in your demographic we will contact you.
Q. What are TeamLook-Look surveys, polls, and discussion boards all about?
A. There are 2 kinds of surveys; general and specific. Each survey should take about 5-15 minutes to fill out. General surveys are questions that help us understand what's going on in your world. They have a self-exploring feel. A specific survey is to get your take on specific ideas or products. These surveys are the ones that specifically shape the products of tomorrow.
Q. How will I know if I have a new survey?
A. We will send you an e-mail message to let you know a new survey is ready and waiting. We will provide you with the URL of the survey so you can link directly to our site.
Q. How often do I need to check this site?
A. We will e-mail you when you have a new survey waiting for you. However, we encourage you to visit the site anytime you would like to finish up surveys, take polls, or check out what's going on.
Q. How often will surveys be emailed to me?
A. It depends. Some months we may have a couple for you. Other months you may not get any. It basically depends on what demographic we are looking for or how many surveys we have to distribute to our growing database. We will e-mail you when a new survey is ready for you to take so check your e-mail often.
Q. What's my incentive for filling out these surveys?
A. Your participation is always voluntary. We feel one of the best incentives is that you get to influence the world you live in and have a voice in what's important and what isn't. That said, we do compensate you for your opinion, whether it be in the form of a guaranteed check, or a drawing to enter cash and/or prizes.
Q. Do I get paid to fill out polls?
A. Same as above. No, you do not get paid to fill out TeamLook-Look polls. However each time you fill out a poll you are entered to win monthly prizes.
Q. Do I get paid to for posting on the discussion board?
A. Nope. That is there for you and the rest of Team Look-Look to have fun with and share your opinions with one another.
Q. When will I get my check?
A. You'll get your check within approximately 3 weeks after completing a survey once it closes a paying Look-Look project. If you're unsure of whether you completed a survey or not, you can always check under the "Surveys" tab to see which surveys you've completed and which you are still working on. If you are ever missing a payment after a month email us so we can look into the situation for you.
Q. Does it make any difference if I live internationally?
A. The only difference with our international respondents is they are paid ONE $30 check for every 6 paying surveys completed. We have found the fees involved with cashing $5 checks too excessive and not worth it for our international respondents.
Q. What happens to my answers once I have submitted them?
A. Look-Look collects information for different clients, both big and small. The results are NEVER seen on an individual basis. All results are compiled and seen as a whole for a little insight and direction. These results are used by our clients to create new products and to improve existing ones.
Q. Why did I need to fill out a profile when first joined?
A. There are certain types of information we need from you to be able to select which surveys you should receive (such as where you live and if you are male or female) and as a way for us to analyze our research. We ONLY use your name and address to send your check. It is never given to anyone or sold to mailing lists.
Q. How can I change my information if I move, get a new e-mail address, or want to update my profile?
A. You can go to the "Edit Profile" page on your home page to here to access your profile. You can update your profile at any time, whenever you need to.
Q. What if I have more than one e-mail address? Which one should I put in my profile?
A. We recommend you put in your PRIMARY e-mail address, meaning the one you use most often. We also recommend you put a backup email address so we can contact you if your primary address fails for any reason.
Q. Can I sign up more than once?
A. You are only allowed one TeamLook-Look profile since we only need your answers once. If we discover you have signed up more than once we will disable your account.
Q.
What if I never received any information from you once I signed up?
A. It is possible you entered an inaccurate email address when you registered. If this is the case just email askme@look-look.com and give us your first and last name as well as the accurate email address. We will be sure we get you back on the right track.
Q. Can I get my friends to take the surveys?
A. Sure! You can have them visit www.teamlook-look.com where they can sign themselves up by clicking on the "sign up" link.
Q.
How do I know my information is protected?
A. Your information is secured by an internal database that has very limited access which can only be viewed by Look-Look employees.
Q. What kind of computer do I need to participate?
A. You just need to be able to access the World Wide Web from any computer.
Q. Which browser do I need to participate?
A. Netscape 4.0 or Internet Explorer 4.0 with cookie and JavaScript enabled. AOL is not supported, but if you have an AOL connection you can still take the surveys. Web-TV is not currently supported.
Q. I am an AOL user, how can I take the surveys?
A. Open a normal AOL connection. Minimize (hide) the AOL window without disconnecting from AOL. Open another browser window either through Netscape or Internet Explorer, and connect to www.teamlook-look.com.
Q. I am a Web-TV user, how can I take the surveys?
A. Currently we do not support Web-TV access. You would have to find another way of accessing the internet.
Q. When I get an e-mail to take a new survey, I can't link to the site from my e-mail. Why?
A. If you are using AOL or a non-HTML-enabled email application you may not be able to click through the survey link to our website. If this is the case, cut and paste the URL into your web browser.
Q. What are cookies and does Look-Look use them?
A. Cookies are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computers hard drive. We require them to help us recall information such as the last survey you took and what ones you need to take, but they DO NOT contain any personally identifiable information. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies so you don't need to do anything.
Q. What should I do when I get a session expired?
A. When you login to your account you establish a session with our server. There are several possible explanations for this session expiring:
- You were inactive for too long. Login to your account again
- You are accessing the teamlook-look page through a 'favorite' place or 'bookmark.' Instead, type in teamlook-look.com or use the link from your email.
- You need to delete your browsing cache.
- Your browser does not accept cookies. Please enable cookies that are 'stored on your computer' and cookies that are 'per session'.
- You are using AOL (see above).
Q. What if I have more questions?
A. If you can't find the answer to your questions or want to talk to us, please e-mail us at askme@look-look.com
